Ms. Megan M.

Hello my name is Megan McVey. I have been at Little Dumplings since October 2015, but have 8 years total experience with children. I am currently the teacher in Puddle ducks. I started at the YMCA with the before and after school and summer program for a few years. I then left and was a personal nanny for a family in Hartland for about 3 years before joining Little Dumplings in October of 2015.

I have always enjoyed working with children and watching them grow into unique individuals.  While I love all age groups, my favorite age group would be the 1-2.5 year olds because they change so much during this stage. They go from being very dependent to slowly becoming independent and their character starts to shine through. Not to mention, they are so eager to learn and explore the world around them.

I started my education field out in Architecture and Interior Design because I loved being able to design and create, but after so many years with children, I found myself wanting to change my major. This year I decided to go back to school for Early Childhood Education.

After earning my 2 year degree, I plan to earn my bachelors to become a teacher in the district and to have education in working with students with special needs. I am certified in First Aid/CPR and Shaken Baby Syndrome. Through the state I have taken EC1, EC2, and Infant/Toddler.

While school and work are keeping me very active, I also have a 5 and 7 year old, Sean and Symphonie who keep me very busy as well. In our free time, we enjoy the outdoors, bike rides, swimming and a night in watching movies and eating pizza. In my own spare time, I love to color, watch a good movie, running and bike around town.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child and having the chance to work with them in the classroom!!
