Ms. Peggy

Introduction:
Hello, my name is Ms Peggy.  I’ve been working at Little Dumplings Early Learning Center since October 2004.  Throughout this time, I have taught the 3K, 4K and 5K programs.  For the past several years, I have been leading the 5K program.  I thoroughly enjoy this age as this is the time when we prepare them for their adventures into Kindergarten.  Some of the skills that I work with the children on in my class are:

  • Recognizing and printing our letters
  • Mathematic skills, including problem solving
  • Money recognition and how much it’s worth
  • Numbers 1-50
  • Time telling
  • Learning sight words
  • Computer skills
  • Beginning Reading Skills

Experience and Education:
I am certified in Early Childhood Education through the State of Wisconsin.  Most recently, I attended the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) course in Madison.  The WMELS encompass guiding principles, developmental expectations, and performance and program standards for the delivery of quality education and care to young children.  Each and every year I take courses relating to early childhood education in order to keep current with curriculum changes and polish my skills!

Goals:
I plan to work at Little Dumplings Early Learning Center for many years and look forward to working with you and your children, as we prepare them for kindergarten!
